NIP test stands for non-invasive prenatal test. This blood test detects congenital abnormalities such as Down syndrome. The blood test does not pose any risk to the pregnancy. The test has a reliability of more than 99 percent.

What are the conditions?
- You are at least twelve weeks pregnant.
- The test is prescribed by the doctor who monitors the pregnancy.
- The test is performed by a medical specialist in clinical biology or pathological anatomy, or in a human genetics center under the supervision of a recognized clinical geneticist.
Important
- The period between receiving the blood sample in the laboratory and delivering the result to the prescriber may not exceed four working days.
- The test may only be charged once per pregnancy.
