Disability benefit
Employees, the unemployed and the self-employed who are unable to work due to illness or accident can receive benefits from CM.
After CM has received your disability declaration (document 'Vertrouwelijk') correctly completed, you may be entitled to sickness benefits.
You will receive an information sheet to calculate this benefit. You must complete this and return it to CM as quickly as possible.
You will receive sickness benefit from the first day after the period of guaranteed wages. The guaranteed wage is the period during which your wage is paid by your employer.
You receive sickness benefit from the first day of your illness.
If your period of illness lasts longer than 7 days, you can receive benefits as a self-employed person from the first day you became ill.
Who is not eligible?
- Permanent government employees: separate regulations apply to this that are not covered by health insurance.
- Accident at work or occupational disease : different regulations apply.
