Maternity leave

Maternity leave for the self-employed
Self-employed people who have become fathers or co-parents are entitled to maternity leave. They can interrupt their professional activity for a maximum of twenty days or a maximum of forty half days, in a period of up to four months after birth.
Parental leave for employees
A father or co-parent may be absent from work for twenty days as an employee. This parental leave does not have to be taken consecutively, but within four months after the birth.
Work removal
Does your work situation pose health risks for mother and child? The occupational physician may then decide that you are no longer allowed to work in that situation.
